Two rescue after boat flips on Whangapoua Harbour bar

Two people have been rescued after their boat capsized trying to cross the Whangapoua Harbour bar, on Coromandel Peninsula.

Police were called just before 11am to a report of a boat flipping on the bar.

The Fire Service and an ambulance crew are also on the way.

Both people have been pulled alive from the water.
