Save Two minor earthquakes have shaken the country overnight.
GeoNet reported that a magnitude 3.3 earthquake with a Mercalli intensity of 5 was felt within 5 km of Napier at 10.24pm.
The earthquake was 5km deep.
Another quake struck at 4.38am this morning, 20km south-east of Porangahau in southern Hawke's Bay.
The magnitude 4.4 quake was 19km deep and had a Mercalli intensity of 5.
