Two people are in hospital after their car crashed over a bank and burst into flames in Coromandel this morning.
Police said the crash happened on Thames Coast Rd, near Cemetery Point about 8.30am.
Fire, police and ambulance attended the scene, where the car was on fire.
The two people
were removed from the car without incident, police said.
One person was taken to Middlemore Hospital by helicopter in a serious condition.
