Two pedestrians killed in seperate accidents

Two pedestrians have been killed in seperate accidents in Tokoroa and Opotiki this morning.

The first was reported shortly before 4am, with one person killed and two injured in a
collision between a vehicle and pedestrian on State Highway One on the northern side of Tokoroa.

Serious crash investigators are at the scene.

An hour later, another collision between a car and pedestrian was reported six kilometers west of Opotiki.

Police have confirmed that one person was also killed in this accident.

Diversions are in place around both crash scenes.
