Two men charged after 'significant' drugs seizure

Save Two Wellington men have been arrested on drugs charges after they were allegedly caught concealing 220 grams of methamphetamine on their bodies.
The pair, aged 54 and 36, have been charged with conspiracy to import and importing after a joint police and Customs operation.
They have been remanded in custody
and will reappear in Wellington District Court on January 30.
Detective Senior Sergeant Warwick McKee said it was a "significant seizure and will put a dent in this drug syndicate"
"Police and Customs have been tracking the movements of these men for several months after they were detained some time ago at Auckland Airport."
