Two people were hurt when a microlight crashed in the Waikato this afternoon.
The aircraft went down on a hillside near Te Kauwhata, 20km north of Huntly.
The pilot and passenger on the aircraft both sustained injuries and were flown to hospital.
The extent and type of injuries
were not disclosed.
Earlier, St John Ambulance, Hamilton, said the pilot was a man, his passenger a woman.
A Westpac Waikato air ambulance spokesman said the crash occurred as the microlight tried to land on an airstrip.
The machine was extensively damaged.
