Firefighters are at the scene of a house fire near Invercargill, with reports there may be people inside.
Crews were called to the Cameron Rd house in Rimu about 5.33am.
Fire service southern communications shift manager Greg Rapana said three fire appliances and three tankers are at the scene.
He
said there had been a report of people inside the building but this has not been confirmed.
Earlier this morning firefighters extinguished a house fire in the Waimate District.
