Two hour closure of SH1 north of Cambridge

State Highway One just north of Cambridge will be closed for two hours while police investigate the cause of a fatal crash yesterday.

Inspector Leo Tooman said the initial indications of the cause of the crash were that a northbound car clipped a truck travelling in the same direction, spun 360 degrees, then collided head-on with another northbound car.

He said the driver of one of the cars died while an elderly man in the other car received serious injuries.

State Highway One will be closed between Racecourse Rd and Discombe Rd from 10am until mid-day.
