Two people are dead and another is critically injured after a car collided with a group of cyclists in Waikato this morning.
The car collided with the cyclists about 9.05am about 12km south of Morrinsville, northeast of Hamilton, on the Morrinsville-Walton Road, said Senior Sergeant Matt Rogers of the policenorthern communications centre.
Two people died at the scene and another had been taken to hospital in a critical condition.
At least seven other cyclists were either injured or in shock following the collision, Mr Rogers said.
