Two people suffered life-threatening injuries in a two-car crash near Rotorua last night.
Two others suffered minor injuries in the head-on collision on State Highway 30 at Kapenga at about 9.30pm, an ambulance spokesman said.
Firefighters had to use cutting equipment to free one back seat passenger from the wreckage.
