Two charged over bus station attack

North Shore police have charged two 22-year-old men over $25,000 worth of vandalism at Sunnynook bus station.

Police called for information while releasing a video image of the pair which was published in the Weekend Herald, apparently showing one "cocky" offender casually lighting a cigarette after the rampage.

North Shore police area commander Inspector Les Paterson said the pair will appear in the North Shore District Court on Monday.

Police will seek reparation of about $25,000.

Mr Paterson thanked members of the public who responded with information.
