Two men have been arrested for seriously assaulting a man in Cromwell's The Mall on Saturday.
Central Otago police confirmed the assault happened at 12.10am on Saturday.
The injured man was taken to Dunstan Hospital in Clyde, with serious injuries.
An 18-year-old Cromwell man was arrested and charged with wounding
with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and theft.
A 17-year-old unemployed Cromwell man was charged with disorderly behaviour, likely to cause violence and threatening language, police said.
