Truck wedged under Southern Motorway bridge, Boston Rd closed

A central Auckland road is closed after a truck got wedged under a bridge.

A police spokeswoman said they were called out at 3.57pm to a crane truck stuck under the Southern Motorway bridge.

She said Boston Rd was closed between Auburn St and Khyber Pass Rd.

The truck can be seen balancing on two wheels with the crane pushing into the bridge.

Heavy haulage equipment is at the scene.
