A trailer of a truck has tipped south of Dannevirke this morning.
The crash had partially blocked the Hawke's Bay-bound lane of State Highway 2 at Maharahara, just north of Woodville township, shortly before 5.50am, police said.
Emergency services were at the scene, and were awaiting the arrival of aheavy haulage crane to lift the trailer.
The highway would be blocked for a period when the crane arrives, police said.
It follows an earlier crash in which an articulated truck jack-knifed on SH2 at Waihi around 3.30am.
