Truck rolls on Southwestern Motorway, blocking one lane

A truck has crashed and rolled on the Southwestern Motorway, blocking one lane.

The crash happened around 2.30pm this afternoon, under the Portage Rd overbridge.

The crash is under the Portage Rd overbridge and is blocking both lanes.

There were no injuries and no other vehicles were involved.

UPDATE: 3:45PM
The Southwestern mwy Southbound will be temporarily CLOSED between Massey Rd to Puhinui Rd to allow for heavy haulage to recover the truck. Please avoid this area if possible and follow the direction of emergency services at the scene. ^JF

The crash is now blocking only the right lane.

Police have reopened the motorway from Massey Rd to the Puhinui off-ramp.

Traffic is slowly being fed past the incident via the bus lane.

The tail is now back to Hillsborough Rd.

Fullers advises that Northcote Point Wharf is closed until further notice due to high winds.

There are also multiple traffic signals out across the city.

Police have reopened the motorway and traffic is heavy right back to Dominion Rd.
