Truck rolls blocking Southern Motorway

Traffic on Auckland's southern motorway has been blocked by a truck which has rolled in the northbound lane.

Police inspector Barry Smalley said the truck rolled just north of Hill Road and police and emergency services were at the scene.

The motorway is blocked for northbound traffic, with motorists being diverted to exit at Takanini.

The on-ramp at Hill Road is also blocked but southbound traffic is not affected.

Police are asking motorists to be patient, especially following yesterdays disruption on the northern motorway when a damaged overbridge caused traffic gridlock.
