A Taumarunui building has been left in a precarious state after a truck crashed into it.
A police spokeswoman said a truck and trailer unit had driven into a shop, on the corner of Hikaia St and State Highway 4, at 4.50am today.
The truck crashed into the verandah of
the building. The fire service was called to help ensure the building was stable until the building owner arrived.
The building remained unstable, she said.
