Truck driver dies four days after crash

A south Auckland truck driver has died in hospital four days after a collision with another truck near Taupo.
He was Roger Norman, 32, of Takanini, Papakura.
Senior Sergeant Murray Hamilton, said the crash occurred shortly after 9am on Monday on State Highway 1, about 4km north of
Wairakei.
Mr Norman was flown to Taupo Hospital in a critical condition, before being transferred to Waikato Hospital where he died today.
Mr Murray said the second truck driver sustained serious injuries.
