Truck crash cuts power to Aucklanders

Nearly 3000 Auckland homes are without power this morning after a truck hit a power pole.

A Vector spokeswoman said the crash has affected 1500 households in Remuera.

No further details are available about the crash.

Another 1400 households have lost power in Otara after trees or wind brought down power lines.

The spokeswoman said power should come back on for some customers shortly. Others should get power back by 10.30am.
