Truck and trailer stuck under Silverstream rail bridge, trains delayed

Trains were delayed in Wellington this morning after a truck and trailer became stuck under a rail bridge near Upper Hutt.

Police said the truck crashed into the overbridge near Silverstream, between Taita and Upper Hutt, about 7am.

There did not appear to be any injuries and the area is now cleared.

Train services have resumed.
