Two people were taken to hospital after a tree fell onto a car in Morere this afternoon.
A Fire Service shift manager confirmed emergency services were on the scene at SH2, about an hour away from Gisborne.
A police spokeswoman said there were reports the tree fell across the bonnet
of the car, and the two occupants suffered moderate to minor injuries.
The Fire Service received a call to the scene about 4.40pm.
The incident happened near the Blackberry Hill Farm.
