“Traffic is backed up all the way to Baypark roundabout and slow-moving.”
Police were reported to be managing traffic flow and Rowes Motors was at the scene.
“Traffic is being diverted around the two vehicles as one vehicle has ended up in the middle of the road while the other is near the off-ramp.”
A police spokesperson said two people sustained minor injuries.
Both cars were towed from the scene and drivers were warned to expect some delays while the traffic backlog cleared.
Meanwhile, motorists were advised of delays on State Highway 2, Aongatete after a truck broke down.
“Reports came in to police around 8.15am, of the incident in the northbound lane about 500m north of Wright Rd,” a police spokesperson sid in a statement.
“There are no injuries but motorists are advised there is significant traffic build-up as a result, and are urged to delay travel if possible.”
