Tradesperson dies at Levin school

A person has died at a school in Levin.

RNZ understands it was a tradesperson working at Levin East School.

Police confirmed it was not a student or a member of staff.

A local told RNZ a number of emergency vehicles began to arrive from 7.45am, and described a makeshift curtain of tarpaulins and rope being used to hide the scene.

Emergency services have now left the scene.
