Greytown's Town Hall will host the Wairarapa launch of Being Palangi: My Pacific Journey by Anthony Haas, on Saturday, September 12 at 3pm.
Haas' memoir stems from his adventures and experiences and uses the stories from five generations of the Haas and Afeaki families to show how people from differentcountries and cultures can work together and succeed in making a better place to live in, despite trials and tribulations.
He tells of the development of New Zealand as a Pacific nation - through his personal and professional experience working in 40 countries and economies, largely in Asia and the Pacific.
Anthony Haas has spent much of his life writing as a journalist about New Zealand's relations with Asia and the Pacific.
The event will be launched by broadcaster Ian Johnstone and former Masterton mayor Bob Francis will be MC.
