TOI MOANA - MĀORI POLICY ADVISOR
An opportunity exists to work within the Māori Policy section of the Bay of Plenty Regional Council. We are looking for a Māori Policy Advisor with knowledge/experience of Māori provisions and application, in the Resource Management Act and other key legislation.
The position requires a focus on the National Policy Statement for Fresh-Water Management. The role can be located in either Rotorua or Tauranga.
For this role you will need:
A relevant tertiary qualification
Sound understanding of Te Ao Māori
Excellent communication skills
Policy/planning analysis skills
Experience of the RMA and LGA
Relationships with hapū and iwi in the region
