TOI MOANA - MĀORI POLICY ADVISOR

An opportunity exists to work within the Māori Policy section of the Bay of Plenty Regional Council. We are looking for a Māori Policy Advisor with knowledge/experience of Māori provisions and application, in the Resource Management Act and other key legislation.

The position requires a focus on the National Policy Statement for Fresh-Water Management. The role can be located in either Rotorua or Tauranga.

For this role you will need:
 A relevant tertiary qualification
 Sound understanding of Te Ao Māori
 Excellent communication skills
 Policy/planning analysis skills
 Experience of the RMA and LGA
 Relationships with hapū and iwi in the region
