Tipsy van causes traffic chaos in Auckland

A van carrying alcohol has rolled on Auckland's South-western Motorway, closing lanes and delaying traffic.

Police were called to the crash, near the Hillsborough Rd off-ramp, just after 1.30pm.

Photos from the scene show a white van packed with alcohol, some of which is smashed on the road.

A police spokesman said the van rolled, causing minor injuries.

Two lanes were closed while the crash debris was cleared. Traffic was directed around the crash scene.

The two lanes re-opened at 2.40pm.
