Three people have walked away uninjured following a smash which left two cars on their sides in Waikato today.
One person suffered minor injuries in the collision, which happened at the intersection of Horrell Rd and State Highway 27, north of Morrinsville, around 11am.
Two children were in one of the vehicles, when one car "T-boned another one", Senior Sergeant Pete Van De Wetering of Waikato District Command Centre said.
Both cars ended up on their sides, with one coming to a stop in a nearby paddock, and one "munted, upside down", according to one witness who came upon the crash scene.
"For a crash like that, where both cars ended up on their sides, it's fortunate they were very minor injuries compared to what one would perhaps anticipate for a call that described that sort of crash to us," he said.
