Three men were today convicted of the drive-by murder of Christchurch gang member Max Shannon.
A High Court jury in Christchurch took 3 and a half days to reach the verdicts, delivered this morning.
Matthew Bernard Grant, 37, unemployed, Dean Waka Nathan, 34, unemployed, and Garth Geoffrey Bucknall, 32, unemployed, were sentenced
to life imprisonment.
Donald Roger Wright, 38, sickness beneficiary, was cleared of all charges.
Dean Carleo Noble, 33, student, was found not guilty of being an accessory to murder, but guilty of unlawfully possessing a pistol.
Those found guilty were remanded to August 9 - Noble for a probation report and sentencing, and the three convicted murderers for a hearing of a minimum non-parole application.
Max Shannon, a Black Power gang member, was shot in his car after rugby league practice in Woolston, Christchurch, on August 8 last year.
