"Indications are that this has been a targeted crime and police are following strong line of enquiry. However, police are keen to hear from anyone who was in the Tuckers Rd area last night and saw two males running from the vicinity."
The men were described as Maori or Polynesian, approximately 30-years-old and wearing black clothing.
One was described as being 5'2" tall (157cm) and of a large build, while the other was described as 5'10" (178cm), of solid build and bald.
Christchurch police have charged two people as part of an ongoing investigation into the aggravated robbery of three youth with an imitation firearm at around 11.45pm last night in the eastern suburb of Parklands.
Detective Sergeant Nicola Reeves said police have recovered a number of items that were stolen including a cell phone and clothing.
"The victims were not physically injured but are understandably shaken by the incident," she said.
"A number of items have yet to be recovered and the victims are being supported by police and Victim Support."
Two Christchurch men aged 28 and 22 have been jointly charged with aggravated robbery. They are both due to appear in Christchurch District Court tomorrow morning.
Police investigations are ongoing.
