Three people have been injured in a serious two-car collision which has closed part of a main road north of Auckland.
The incident occurred on East Coast Road in Dairy Flat about 6.15pm, Inspector Chris Tate said.
The intersection of East Coast Road and Wilks Road had been closed since
the incident, causing delays to motorists.
Mr Tate said emergency services were still clearing the site.
One person is in a critical condition following the crash and two more have serious injuries, he said.
