Three hurt in Rakaia Bridge, Selwyn crash

Three people are seriously injured following a crash on Rakaia Bridge in Selwyn.

Police say they have all been rushed to a medical centre for treatment.

Emergency services were alerted to the two-car crash around 11.25am.

Police say both lanes of Main South Road on the bridge are still blocked, and will likely remain shut for the next hour or so.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area all together.
