This film festival dates all the way back to 1969

The New Zealand International Film Festival has been a regular event on Auckland's calendar since 1969. Each year the festival organisers put together a programme featuring around 150 titles by filmmakers from all around the world. Screenings take place all across the central city from 14 - 31 July, and venues include the majestic Civic theatre as well as local favourite Academy Cinemas. Our top film festival tip?
