The head of New Zealand's 2015 Cricket World Cup campaign has won the inaugural Women of Influence Awards.
Therese Walsh, who was also the chief operating officer for the 2011 Rugby World Cup, is the Supreme Winner.
The judges panel commended her on her enormous yet understated influence on New
Zealand society.
Fairfax's Sinead Boucher said it was a difficult choice with so many other deserving candidates.
"But what really made Therese stand out was not just her professional achievements but her achievements and attitude and abilities in all aspects of life," she said.
