A new serviced apartment complex under construction in Wanaka offers contemporary holiday homes that generate their own income.
Comprising 25 apartments, the Wanaka Edge development is scheduled for completion toward the end of the year.
The apartments are for sale through Bayleys Real Estate, priced from $395,000 plus GST (if
any) which includes a furniture package.
Christine Mackay, of Bayleys Wanaka office, says the freehold-titled apartments are suited to investors wanting a holiday home in the South Island, but who also want to get a return on their property when they are not using it.
The apartments can be used for holiday accommodation by the owner for up to four weeks a year, for only a nominal housekeeping charge, and are leased out by an onsite management company when the owner is not using them.
With a floor plan designed to maximise space, the 60 sq m apartments comprise two bedrooms, living and dining areas, a bathroom and a kitchen. Mackay says the homes will have a high-quality fit-out, with a strong emphasis on future proofing.
