The best new faces to watch this NZ Fashion Week

It’s not just about the designers - Katherine Lowe of the popular blog Katherine is Awesome, shares her picks of new model faces to look out for on the runway.

Zara
Clyne Model Management

I think Zara has a bit of a Karlie Kloss vibe about her, she's 5'10" and has a really great face - fantastic eyebrows! This isn't her first New Zealand Fashion Week, but I've got an inkling this is going to be the year she really owns it. I expect big things from this girl.

Marie
Clyne Model Management

Having only been modelling for just over 3 months, this will be Marie's first New Zealand Fashion Week. It's been a very productive quarter for the 16 year old - signing to DNA in New York and popping up in a tonne of editorial, lookbooks and campaigns in between. I'd be very surprised if we didn't see her in shows this week. Definitely one to watch.

Tessa
Unique Model Management

Tessa got scouted at the end of last year and since then she's been upwardly mobile, cleaning up at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia, shooting ID magazine and signing to IMG. Standing at 5ft 11in with legs for days, I can't imagine why she wouldn't have a really great week at NZFW. (I've also heard she's on hold for some European Exclusives so watch this space!)

Eden
62 Models & Talent

Eden got scouted a year ago and has since shot to the top. The New Plymouth born model has been working in Sydney for the last 5 months and just recently signed The Society in New York and Elite worldwide. She's got a beautiful face - she could book shows on that alone. After NZFW there's plans for her to fly further abroad to give the fashion circuit a go. Very exciting stuff.

Devon
62 Models & Talent

This is Devon's first NZFW, the 5'9" stunner has just signed to IMG worldwide and over the last couple of weeks I've seen her pop up in editorial and shows all over the place - if that's any indication to go by, I'd expect to see her clean up at NZFW this year.

Natarsha
Kirsty Bunny/Red 11

Hailing from windy Wellington, Natarsha has gone from test shoots to campaigns to signing to IMG, to walking alongside top Australian girls at the most recent David Jones show. Needless to say it's been a pretty great year for the Thai/European 16 year old. Onwards and upwards I say. Last year Natarsha booked two shows at NZFW, this year I'm predicting a whole lot more.

Juliette
Red 11

Juliette Perkins is an anomaly. She's an incredibly in proportion 5'11" teenager with a beautiful, interesting face and a likeable, friendly personality. No wonder that IMG snapped her up right away. I don't know why anyone wouldn't book her for NZFW. Keep an eye on this one.
