Firefighters had to rescue an elderly woman from a car after it went over a bank.
The car went through a fence at the Eastridge Shopping Centre on Kepa Rd in Auckland's Mission Bay this morning.
Jogger Greg Bryan said he ran past to find fire, ambulance and police all
at the scene.
"They seemed to think the car had been put into drive instead of reverse," he said.
Fire Service northern communications manager Colin Underdown said the woman wasn't hurt in the accident, but was trapped for a while until the situation was made safe.
