Thailand travel warning

New Zealanders are being warned against travelling to Thailand amid reports that 27 people have died and nearly 1000 wounded in the latest political protests.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said: "There is high risk to your security in Thailand due to the uncertain political situation, civil unrest and threat from terrorism and we advise against all tourist and other non-essential travel."
