Tennis stars John Isner and David Ferrer create art with families at Ronald McDonald House during ASB Classic

Two of ASB Classic 2017's biggest names paid a visit to Ronald McDonald House in Auckland this afternoon to delight kids with a paint party.

John Isner and David Ferrer served colourful, paint-dipped tennis balls onto a large canvas, creating a piece of art that will be given to Ronald McDonald House to mark the 10-year partnership with ASB.

Families staying at Ronald McDonald House were also given the chance to get in on the action painting the canvas, which was signed by the two tennis players and will be displayed in the ASB kitchen.

Ronald McDonald House Charities chief executive Wayne Howett welcomed the two players to the house, just 350 metres from the courts on Stanley Street where the tournament is taking place.

"We are extremely proud to be the chosen charity of the ASB Classic for the third consecutive year, and it's an honour to have two tennis stars visiting our house," Howett said.

"For the families staying here, being away from home and family is never easy, but it's particularly difficult at this time of year, so it's wonderful that, thanks to ASB, we can offer this fun afternoon."

Families were also given the opportunity to meet and take photos with the players.

Ronald McDonald House Charities is also the official charity partner of the 2017 ASB Classic.

Isner is the 2010 and 2014 Auckland champion and ranked world No 19. He is the American No 1 and is considered one of the fastest servers in tennis.

David Ferrer has returned to Auckland for the 12th time and holds a world ranking of 21.

He won the tournament in 2007, 2011, 2012 and 2013 and reached the semi-finals in 2016.

The 34-year-old reached a world ranking of three in July 2013.
