Teenager dies after fall down bank

A young man has died after falling down a 15-20m bank in Paihia, in the Bay of Islands.

Inspector Gavin MacDonald said the accident happened in Marsden Road early this morning.

Emergency services, including a helicopter, rushed to the scene but the young man died at the scene while receiving medical attention. He was believed to be in his late teens.
