Teenage girls arrested after Gisborne robbery

Two teenage girls have been arrested and charged in relation to a home invasion in Gisborne last night in which two elderly women were robbed.

The victims - both in their 80s - needed hospital treatment for minor injuries.

They are still in hospital under observation.

Police allege the 14 and 18 year old accused broke in around half past five last night and attacked the women, before making off with some personal items.
