Teen still critical following violent assault

A teenager remains in a critical condition with head injuries at Auckland Hospital, after he was beaten by a group of young men in south Auckland.

Police believe the 19-year-old was bashed with a chair in the attack in Mangere on Friday night.

They think the assault is linked to a separate altercation earlier in the evening.
