Teen found unconscious in water at Whananaki

Emergency services responded to reports of a 16-year-old found unconscious in water in Northland this afternoon.
Emergency services were at the scene opposite the Whananaki Holiday Park on Whananaki North Rd, Whananaki after 5.30pm.
Fire service central shift manager Jaron Phillips said the male was conscious and out of the
water.
A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said the teen was in moderate condition.
He could not confirm if the person was found in a pool or the estuary right beside Whananaki North Rd.
