A Hamilton teen is dead after he lost control of his car and crashed into a tree last night.
The 19-year-old man crashed on Scotsman Valley Rd in Tauwhare, east of Hamilton, about 10pm.
Senior Sergeant Robbie Hermann of Waikato police said the man, the sole occupant of the car,
died at the scene.
"It appears that the driver has lost control of the vehicle, and collided with a tree."
The man's name will be released once his family members have been advised.
