Teen 'cut free' from car after crash

An 18-year-old had to be cut from a vehicle after he crashed into the back of a parked truck in central Otago last night.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash on Barry Ave in Cromwell at 8.10pm.
Senior Sergeant Dave Scott said the car had smashed
into the back of a parked grit truck.
The driver of the vehicle was seriously injured while his two passengers fled the scene.
He was air-lifted to Dunedin Hospital.
