A 19-year-old Porirua man could be facing charges after crashing his car on Paierau Rd yesterday.
Sergeant Quentin Hoera said the man had been heading north at the intersection with State Highway 2, when he missed the turn and travelled straight through the intersection at about 9am.
"For whatever reason
he's ended up straight across the road and crashed into the signage on the other side."
The car's airbags had deployed but the man was not injured.
The front of the car was extensively damaged.
