A Lower Hutt teacher accused of importing euthanasia drugs appeared in court this morning.
Susan Austen appeared in the Wellington District Court, supported by pro-euthanasia protesters.
Police asked for a two-week adjournment to allow a further charge to be laid.
The new charge requires executive approval and would need to
be looked at by the commissioner and his senior team, the police prosecutor said.
The public gallery was almost full with Austen's supporters.
