The women, aged 27 and 59, were charged with two counts of unlawfully possessing a firearm, and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, Badri said.
They were due to appear in Huntly District Court today.
The man, 56, was also charged with unlawfully possessing a firearm, and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
He is due to appear in Hamilton District Court on March 20.
The arrests were a good outcome for both the alleged victim and the Te Kauwhata community, Badri said.
He praised police staff for their “quick actions”, essential to the arrests.
“Not only am I pleased to be able to hold these offenders to account, I am also happy to have removed a firearm from circulation in the community.
“Police continue to support those affected by the incident and reassure the community that there is no ongoing risk.”
