Save A woman was flown to Tauranga Hospital after being crushed by a cow this afternoon.
The TrustPower TECT Rescue Helicopter was called to a Pongakawa farm about 2.30pm.
Te Puke St John operations team manager Simon Campbell said a cow landed on a 53-year-old woman while they were loading the
animals on or off a truck.
"The accident was caused when a cow jumped over a rail on a truck they were loading and landed on top of her."
She had moderate to serious neck injuries and minor head and leg injuries.
