Police are hunting two men following the armed robbery of a Bay of Plenty TAB yesterday afternoon.
No one was hurt but those at the Bethlehem TAB were traumatised after two men, believed to carrying a firearm, robbed staff of a small amount of cash, police said in a media
statement today.
The incident at the Bethlehem Shops of State Highway 2 occurred about 1.20pm and the men, aged in their late 20s or early 30s, fled in a white-coloured 1993 Nissan Sentra, police said.
The vehicle, which was stolen from the front of the store and has not been found, has the registration number SB330.
Tauranga police want to hear from anyone who can identify the men in CCTV footage captured at the shop.
