The first Local Government Commission public hearings in Wairarapa over the proposed Wellington governance reshuffle will run at the Carterton Events Centre tomorrow and Wednesday.
The schedule for Wairarapa's Local Government Commission (LGC) hearings has been confirmed.
The first two hearings will be held at the Carterton Events Centre tomorrow and Wednesday from 9am to 8.30pm.
South Wairarapa District Council and the Carterton District Council will be presenting at 9am and 10am respectively tomorrow.
Thethird hearing will be held in Masterton at the Copthorne Hotel from 9am to 5pm on March 19.
The Masterton District Council is scheduled to put its submissions at 12pm.
The LGC has confirmed further hearings are expected to be held in Wairarapa next month, with dates yet to be confirmed.
Super-city opponents Carterton Voice are ramping up for the hearings by holding a workshop tonight to give people tips on how to prepare their verbal submissions - at the Tarragon Cafe, Carterton, 5-7pm.
